Movers and Shakers storytimes are Wednesdays at 10:30 AM. This storytime focuses on the importance of play in developing imagination, concepts, physical health, and emotional skills. Play strengthens our minds and bodies so we can learn and read better.
Each Wednesday in September we will meet at the playground at Wapsipinicon State Park. We will begin by playing on the playground and doing other play activities. Then we will transition into a story with lots of movement and songs. During storytime we will have blankets set out for households to stay socially distanced.
The purpose of storytime is to develop early literacy skills and create a love of reading at an early age. Caregivers are an important part of fostering these skills and are encouraged to actively participate with their child.
